Railways: There is vast Railways network in the North East. Guwahati is the Hub for the railways in the region. Rail network is expanding and eventually the region will be linked up between New Delhi, India and Hanoi in Vietnam via, Myanmar, Thailand and Laos. (Trans Asia Railway Network) |

Road Network. Major National Highways are NH-31, 31A, 36, 37, 39, 44, 52, 53, 54 etc. Currently Four lane East-West corridor national highway constructions is going on full swing, which is a part of Asian Highway no. 1 & 2 connecting Southeast and the far East. |
